Chris confesses his love for Harcourt, but she can't do the same. Instead, she acknowledges her own problems, saying she doesn't have access to her feelings. Emotionally, they are in different places, and Chris accepts that, but still wants to stay in the alternate dimension, upsetting Harcourt.

Episode 6 does a great job of making both characters move past the issues they had before, opening the door for that relationship to evolve in the final two episodes. I believe Peacemaker is at a point in life where he could really help Harcourt in her vulnerability.
